Sapta, a Javanese by descent, is a translator-cum-lecturer specializing in English into Indonesian/Javanese translations and vice versa. She is a professional offering language services from Solo, the other cultural heart of Java. Sapta obtained a BA in English Literature from the University of Indonesia and a Master’s in Translation Studies from the Solo-based Sebelas Maret University. She also maintains an active membership in the HPI.
As her academic background suggests, Sapta works in the field of culture, education and linguistics, yet she has sustained an avid interest and hence gained a special expertise in such areas as healthcare, medicine, chemistry, and pharmacy. Sapta has translated a large number of documents on the particular topics, including healthcare programmes and services, medical reports and academic journals, for both local and overseas clients.
